Spectral music was developed in France in the 1970s and sought to exteriorise the inner reality of sound, to project its inner dynamics into an acoustic space and time, and to transmit to the public the reality of sound in all its complexity. WAAPA new music ensemble AXIS 21 presents works by, and inspired by, this subtle and ephemeral music.
